Before the 2014 NFL season, I started the Redskins Capital Connection podcast without knowing where it would end up taking me. It’s fair to say that if you had told me that before the end of that same year, I’d be standing in the Washington Redskins locker-room with a microphone in hand, interviewing Ryan Kerrigan and Alfred Morris, high-fiving Sonny Jurgensen, and shaking Robert Griffin III’s hand, I would not have believed you.
But thanks to the support from fellow Redskins fans who tuned into each podcast and interacted with me on Twitter, RCC became something more than I ever anticipated.
Now it’s time to take it one step further.
In 2015, RedskinsCapitalConnection.com will still be the home of the podcast, but it has also evolved into a new website where Redskins fans can come together to read editorials, news, and detailed analysis of everything Washington Redskins!
Joining me as the co-host of the RCC podcast this year is Mark Phillips (@RedskinsReview). Mark hosted the Redskins Review radio show on SportsRadio910 in Richmond, VA for 15 years, and has now brought his unique and hilarious talents over to RCC.
As RCC is more than just a podcast this year, with the website growing into a place for Redskins fans to come together and read news and analysis, Anthony Raposa (@AnthonyRaposa) has come onboard as RCC’s resident news hound, seeking out the latest issues and bringing them to you as they happen.
Helping to ensure that RCC is well and truly a global home for Redskins fans, David Thompson (@ReadOptionBlog) is bringing his honest and raw Read Option Blog over to join the RCC all the way from Northern Ireland. The Read Option Blog is a great insight into what true Redskins fans are thinking and feeling.
Alongside these guys, we’re also going to be thrilled to have guest articles and columns from some of the best Redskins reporters in the business. Guys like Samuel Gold (@SamuelRGold) from NFLbreakdowns, Emmanual Benton (@Manny_PPI) from ProPlayerInsiders.com, and Justin Byram (@Justin_Byram) from HogsHaven.com and SonofWashington.com, just to name a few.
I’m excited to be able to work with such a talented and passionate group of people, and together I hope that we can bring you, the Redskins fans all over the globe, coverage and content that you enjoy.
Thank you for being a part of it.
