Redskins place kicker Kai Forbath took to social media today to announce that he had signed his RFA tender, coming back to Washington for another season.
Forbath, who has a career field goal percentage of 88.1 (connecting on 59 from 67 attempts), will be earning $1,542,000 according to CSNWashington’s Tarik El-Bashir.
Last preseason the Redskins brought in some competition for Forbath, because although his accuracy is good, he lacks power on kick-offs and long-distance field goals, with a career long FGM of 50 yards.
Expect the Redskins to again bring in some kickers this training camp to keep the heat on, but in the NFL accuracy is king, and for the past 3 seasons Cobra Kai has been a King Cobra.
